Lora Setterlund, FNP-BC
BioTE® Certified Practitioner
Lora Setterlund, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and BioTE® Certified Practitioner who joined the Sweetwater OB/GYN team in 2021. Originally from Corpus Christi, Lora has called the Houston area home for over 30 years.
Lora’s path to healthcare was driven by a strong calling. After beginning her career as a Certified Public Accountant, she discovered her true passion lay in helping others through medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and spent a decade as a labor and delivery nurse at Women’s Hospital of Texas, where she developed her expertise in women’s health. In May 2020, she achieved board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner after completing her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington.
As a BioTE® Hormone Pellet Therapy Certified Practitioner, Lora specializes in helping patients restore hormonal balance and enhance their quality of life throughout the aging process. She brings medical expertise, genuine compassion, and a personalized approach to every patient interaction, guiding individuals toward renewed vitality, energy, and confidence.
Outside the clinic, Lora is a devoted mom to her daughter, with whom she shares a love of learning, traveling, hiking, and spending meaningful time with family. This same spirit of growth and discovery informs her patient care—she’s committed to helping you feel your best at every stage of life.
